C. David Benbow
I attended Statesville City Schools and graduated from Statesville Senior High School in 1963. I attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and graduated with a degree in economics in 1967. I served in the United States Army with the 2nd Infantry Division in the DMZ of Korea in 1968 and 1969. I attended the University of North Carolina Law School in Chapel Hill on the G.I. Bill and graduated in 1972. Immediately after graduating, I was licensed to practice law and did so in Graham, NC for 3 years. I have had a general trial practice in Statesville, NC since returning home in 1975. I am the past president of the Iredell County Bar Association. I am currently serving as the 22A Judicial District State Bar Councilor |
Richard A. Phillips
I am a 1978 graduate of North Iredell High School. I graduated in 1982 from the University of North Carolina with a double major in political science and economics. While at Carolina, I was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. I graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1985. I served as an assistant district attorney for the 22nd Judical District and I have practiced law in Statesville for the past 22 years. During that time, I have been active in numerous civic organizations, including serving as president of the Iredell-Statesville Sertoma Club, president of the Statesville Civitan Club and serving on the Board of Directors for the Salvation Army and the Statesville Rotary Club. I have also served as president of the Iredell County Bar Association and chairman of the Iredell County Democratic Party. I have taught real estate law at Mitchell Community College. I am a member of Statesville Masonic Lodge #27 and I am married to the former Doris Best. I am engaged in the general practice of law with a concentration in criminal defense and real estate law. |
