Amy is a native of Hiddenite and a graduate of Alexander County High School. She received her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from Wilkes Community College. After working as a CNA for seven years, she returned to school at Caldwell Community College to obtain her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to assist her father with his trucking company. In addition to her CNA and CDL training, she also took some real estate courses.

Amy is fluent in Spanish and English. She enjoys cooking, traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with her fiancé and Dobermans.  She values her family deeply and loves staying connected to her roots. Both of her parents are from El Salvador.
